Debbie Roney, Chair

God plants every church precisely where He wants it for a reason.  There is a community here and growing which needs to know something of the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This committee will seek to bring the good news of Jesus to the community God has given to our care by matching community needs with our member giftedness.

Our Outreach team actively seeks ways to engage the community in our church environment. Events such as Easter Egg Hunt, dinners, meal preparation for VBS are but a few of the things they do.

Local Outreach

Annual Back-to-School-Fair

Nottingham Presbyterian Church reaches out to the children of our community with our annual Back to School Fair.  Through generous donations by our members, friends and businesses, we’re able to meet back to school needs at little to no cost.  Our biggest goal for the event is to provide free backpacks stuffed with “First-Day of School Essentials” based on individual grade year requirements. In 2016, we provided over 900 children with the items necessary to start their school year. People visiting the fair have the opportunity to shop for gently used clothing, toys, and baby gear on consignment; get low cost haircuts; and visit with local representatives providing information about area daycares, the Health Department, and WIC.

Garage Sales

Our Adult Group organizes a garage sale twice a year using donations from members, family and friends. The community is invited to come and purchase “gently used” items or set up their own table. We truly believe "One man’s trash is another man’s treasure"! Proceeds from the sale benefit our building fund for anticipated growth and future expansion.
