10th Annual Back-to-School Fair

Saturday August 24, 2019 at Penns Grove School

This is the day! We are giving away 950 Backpacks to over 300 families. We need people to fill a multitude of roles in order to meet the needs of so many.

There is a job for everyone. Jobs are both sitting and standing. Some roles are reserved for members/active visitors of Nottingham Presbyterian Church. Please review the available slots, taking note of which are a good fit for kids and which are best left for adults.

The Back to School Fair is held every year on the last Saturday before school starts and is one way we develop community, while meeting the needs of our neighbors in Jesus' name. It's not just about giving away 950 backpacks stuffed with grade-specific school supplies.  Stylists offer Pay-What-You-Can haircuts to kids under 18.  Consignors offer quality product at a fraction of retail while keeping 90% of the earnings.  Family resource agencies connect with people at the point of their need.  Entertainers keep the atmosphere of the Fair light, and ensure that kids are in school and excited about starting the new year, on an even playing field with their peers. Other businesses donate supplies and/or advertise to make their connections.  And all the while a few dozen smiling volunteers take care of our guests.

There are many ways you can become involved in our Back-to-School Fair.
