Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir sings during worship at the discretion of the Worship Team.  Although small in number, they raise their voices like the angels must be singing in heaven.  NPC is truly blessed for this dedicated group!

Our choir typically takes a break for the summer with a new rehearsal schedule  posted in August.  We sing mainly traditional choir music, including an occasional cantata.  We also participate in the annual Community Thanksgiving Service.

All those interested are encouraged to join us for practice – no experience needed!  We’re always happy to welcome new members of any age!

The sound of beautiful music and tolling bells from our Schulmerich Generation 4 Novabell Carillon can be heard around the neighborhood at preset times throughout the day all year round.  The mellow sound of Flemish tuned bronze bells with the gentle harp bells for accompaniment provide us with over 400 hymns from which to select including holiday specific hymns.

Santuary Organ

Our santuary Baldwin organ was purchased in 1950 through generous donations from the congregation.  Although it is over 65 years old, it still has a melodic quality that can't be put into words.  Hearing is believing.

Bell Tower

During the years 1954-1958, a Bell Tower was built and its historic bell was installed.  Our bell was cast in England in 1849 and was shipped and installed in America at the First Presbyterian Church located in the Richmond area of Philadelphia.  Several members of the congregation made a trip to Philadelphia and brought the bell to our church where it has hung ever since.  The peeling of the bell can be heard as we celebrate worship on Sundays and at other times of the year.
